In 2009 Women’s Magazine of Boulder, Colorado teamed up with Denver book author Cathie Beck to produce a before and after story of a midlife makeover. Cathie underwent several cosmetic and aesthetic procedures and documented her transformation for the magazine. Virlena provided her talents and took Cathie’s hair from dull, over processed and flat, to a healthy, more updated look with a great cut and new color. Virlena’s ability to create dimension to the hair’s overall color and appearance helped the book author’s finished look to be more bold and beautiful.
